Welcome to the Litterfall Blog

This is a place for fiction and essays about peak oil, ecology, decline, living with less, the natural world, and related subjects. In the past, I’ve written essays on these subjects, and you’ll find those in the archives. Starting in Spring 2018, I am using this blog to work on a deindustrial science fiction novel in installments, right out in public. I will update this post with a link to the home post of that project shortly. I may also intersperse with blogs posts of a more personal nature, but we shall see; I make no promises.

Figuration Press as a small publication house with a variety of publishing projects continues to percolate in the back of my mind as a possibility. For now, it remains focused on publication of Into the Ruins, a quarterly deindustrial science fiction magazine. I encourage you to check it out if you haven’t already! It’s a going concern that I consider a pretty fun read.
